The Turin Giants Bring In Ex- Italy Manager Luciano Spalletti

Juventus have appointed former Italian national team manager Spalletti to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

The 66-year-old replaces Igor Tudor, who was sacked post the Lazio setback recently.

Tudor had joined the club in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
