Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
